Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and performer born in New York City, New York on November 22 in 1984. Her acting has earned the attention of a broad spectrum of genres such as historical drama, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson was the child of a film director and an architect. She was raised by New York City. Her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. By the time she was seven years old, her love of acting was growing. She began to audition for commercials. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after, and later went to the Professional Children's School, Manhattan for further training. At the age of eight old, she starred with Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway show. And at age nine she made her acting debut in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson appeared next as a character in Just Cause (1996), however the film Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her her breakthrough. The film tells the story of two young girls that have fled to escape. For The Horse Whisperer, Johansson as a teen victim of an incredibly tragic accident. In Ghost World, her role Ghost World brought her more recognition as the troubled teenager Rebecca. Thanks to the encouragement of her parents Smith was offered her first acting gig when she was just six. She was a part of a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. As with the majority of actresses just starting out, to refine her acting skills. Her work included various USA projects while getting her stage debut in the company of Wildflower. She studied in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
