She currently lives within New York City. Chando studied at Manhattan College before becoming an actor. Chando played the character of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap show As The World Changes between 2005 and 2007 and for a couple of months starting late 2009 when she returned to the character. Alexandra began her professional career acting with the TV series House Blend on which she portrayed Jenna Harper. As the World Turns on CBS was her first television part after three years. Chando was also a part of a documentary television series in the US, True life, and played in Sherri. Chando was in two episodes of Glory Daze (an American comedy-drama series) in the role of Annabelle. In addition, her other TV show credits are Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
